These paintings are created in the North Atlantic Lighthouse by artist Helle Louise Kierkegaard/Lui. All are created in a series of play and seriousness. A portion of love and longing is a recurrent theme. They are all created out of sweetness and rawness. The greyish cement which forms part of the wide frame is raw and intense and in strong contrast to the more soft and fresh colors with their high-gloss lighting up the center of each painting. High-gloss finish is only used on the colors in the center of the painting. The combination of these two techniques complement each other in a new and exciting way. The masculine and feminine energies harmoniously melt together in each of the paintings.
